Our door-to-door delivery service covers the majority of urban areas in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland and Zambia. If we do not deliver to your area we will send your order to your nearest Post Office. Click here to check if you live in a home delivery area.
South Africa orders
There is a 9% delivery fee. Furniture and large appliances have an 11% delivery fee (to a maximum of R860) and assembly fees may apply. When buying on credit, these costs are included in your monthly instalment.
Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland orders
Orders from Namibia and Botswana have a delivery fee of 15% of the cash price. Orders from Lesotho and Swaziland have a delivery fee of 25% of the cash price. International tax is charged as follows: Namibia – 16.5% of the credit price; Botswana – 12% of the credit price. This amount is payable upfront if paying cash, or will be spread out over the entire payment period on credit purchases.
The invoice charges from homechoice will include the cash price and additional delivery fees payable to Mercury Couriers. The delivery fee covers the cost from homechoice in Cape Town, South Africa to Mercury Couriers in Midrand, South Africa. Customers shall pay an extra amount to Mercury Couriers for the transport from Midrand, South Africa to Lusaka Zambia, as well as any other disbursements that may be applicable.
Once your order is ready to be delivered, we will send you an SMS notifying you of the delivery details. If your order is delivered to a Post Office, you will receive a delivery notification form and an SMS. Make sure to have your ID booklet with you upon delivery or when collecting your order. You need to ensure that you or an authorised person is in attendance at the delivery address and that appropriate access is made available. Any person other than yourself who receives your goods at the delivery address is conclusively presumed to be authorised to accept delivery on your behalf. Any such person must produce a photo ID, sign and print his/her name on a POD. Should no-one be in attendance at the time of delivery, the driver will retain the goods and a notice will be left at the delivery address to this effect. homechoice will attempt to contact you to make new arrangements for delivery or collection.
On delivery of the goods to the specified delivery address, you will receive an invoice, packing slip and a letter detailing any substitute items.
Of course we do! Our FREE Delivery Protection covers your order against theft, incorrect delivery and damage, while our FREE Product Replacement Protection covers you against home theft, fire damage and natural disasters.
We know that there may be circumstances in which you’ll want to return your purchase, so we give you 14 days to decide if you like what you ordered. If you’re not 100% happy you can return your purchase and owe us absolutely nothing!
When returning a purchase, please make sure it is unused and in the original packaging. Also enclose the original invoice (make sure you keep a copy), along with any free gifts you may have received with it.

In order to have your postage refunded, proof of postage costs must be provided. Please include your account number. Not all customers qualify.

Always save all returns documentation until the credit has been processed and reflected on your statement. We may require proof of return to process a credit.
The following will not be covered under our clothing policy, and returns will not be permitted.
Before we can refund you for your returned purchase, all items returned will be thoroughly inspected. We only accept used goods for return and refund if there is a manufacturing defect. All our appliances carry a 1-year guarantee against mechanical and technical failure – please read all the details of your appliance’s guarantee in the instruction manual that accompanies it upon delivery. If a product has been misused or abused in any manner by you the customer, we will not be able to refund you for your purchase. You will however have the option to have it repaired at your expense.
