After 11 years of shopping with HomeChoice, Zodwa Mabaso's continued support paid off when her name was drawn as the winner of our 2011 Super-Million Grand Prize Draw.

On Friday, 18 November 2011, HomeChoice rolled out the red carpet for the winner of our annual Super-Million Grand Prize Draw. This time the prize went to Zodwa Mabaso, an admin clerk from Johannesburg. She brought her partner of 11 years, Jabulani Vilakazi with to help her celebrate.

It was Zodwa and Jabulani's first trip to Cape Town, so they took the opportunity to explore the city properly. They went sight-seeing around the V&A Waterfront, took a boat trip, shopped up a storm and enjoyed dinner at a seaside restaurant.

On Friday evening the couple returned home to Johannesburg. They were tired, but smiling from ear to ear!

How did you feel when you heard that you were the latest HomeChoice millionaire?
Wow, I couldn't believe it. I asked the lady to repeat herself. When she said it again, I believed her and I knew it was real. People at work told me not to get too excited though. They said it was probably a joke.

Who was the first person you told?
My partner, Jabulani. He was so excited!

W hat would you like to do with your winnings?
I haven't really thought about it yet, but I do know that I want to spend some of it on education for my kids. I have two boys. One is 20 years old and the other 8 years old. My eldest thought I was joking when I told him I won!

Jabulani: She bought two dresses already!

so far?
Oh yes! I never thought that I'd ever get treated like this. I feel like a princess!

Can you remember what your first HomeChoice purchase was?
I've been a customer since 2000 and my first purchase was a comforter. I still use it today!

What has been your favourite HomeChoice purchase to date?
Definitely that first comforter I bought. But I also love the 20L urn I bought. I use it for gatherings to make tea and coffee, and I also use it to heat up water to do the dishes with.
