Who can claim this benefit?

• Your next-of-kin, such as your spouse, life partner, your child or a family member.
• A nominee. To nominate someone, you must write a letter stating that you want that person to receive the funeral payout. The nominee’s identity details must be noted and the letter signed by you. Leave it with the nominee to keep in a safe place.

How is a claim made?

• Your next-of-kin or nominee should contact HomeChoice on 0861 466324 or +27 21 680 1000 and we will explain the claims procedure.
• Claimants will be required to complete an application form, obtain certified copies of documents and prove their right to claim.

How long does it take to receive the money?

Once we’ve received all the required documentation, we endeavour to process all claims for payment within just 2 days!
