Since our humble beginnings we have always involved ourselves in the community we
live and work in. Our HomeChoice Club is one of the most successful in the country
and offers hundreds of thousands of rands worth of help to our customers and their
families, from bursaries to free products, from free medical advice to free legal
advice. All for the betterment of society as a whole.
The HomeChoice Development Trust
The HomeChoice Development Trust was established in May 2005, after HomeChoice
decided it wanted to play a part in, and make a difference to, the lives of people
in and around Cape Town, the base of our head office. Currently, the goals of the
Trust are:
• To support people in need in the Western Cape.
• To concentrate on education and economic empowerment, particularly of women.
• To establish close relationships with those we support, lasting for two
to three years.
• To cover our own costs – every rand received would go to the beneficiaries.
• To engage in research and expect full reporting to ensure accountability.
